Terry Peak Ski Area
With a summit at 7,100 feet, Terry Peak in South Dakota offers the highest lift service between the Rocky Mountains and the Alps. Reaching this elevation means the mountain can get up to three times as much snow as anywhere else in the region. A vertical rise of 1,100 feet with 29 trails and one Terrain Park, provides plenty of non-stop action and unlimited adventure. In the event of a lean Winter, Terry Peak has snowmaking equipment that can blanket approximately 60% of the mountain with man-made powder, ensuring the conditions are great all season long. With a fleet of Piston Bully grooms, Terry Peak’s skilled operators will groom the slopes to perfection while you sleep. Wake to a freshly groomed slopes on all beginner and most intermediate and advanced runs.
Terry Peak has four Chairlifts of which three are high speed quads, and one is a triple chairlift, in addition to the four lifts Terry Peak has one covered Snow Carpet surface lift on the beginners slope. The Stewart Lodge and the Nevada Gulch Lodge offer comforts of home, each houses a cafeteria and bar. The Rental Department in the Stewart Lodge offers ski and snowboard rentals for 1,000’s of guests daily, and the Mountain Shop is stocked full of all the necessities to help make you day on the slopes more enjoyable. Plus a fully certified PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and AASI (American Association of Snowbaord Instructors) Ski School will insure you and your family a great learning experience.
